Cursillo is held at the Wesley Center, nestled in the serene forests of Woodworth, near Alexandria.
Cursillo develops Christian leaders. Whether you’re navigating unanswered questions about prayer, study, and sharing your faith or sensing the responsibility that comes with being a follower of Christ, Cursillo offers a dynamic space for growth and enlightenment. It will strengthen and equip the church’s leaders in their spiritual lives.
Are you READY to ignite a renewed passion for living your faith daily? YEARNING for a supportive Christian community to walk alongside you on your faith journey? LONGING to deepen your relationship with God? ASPIRING to be more confident when sharing your faith with others? WANTING to be equipped to take a greater role in your church?
Your journey begins on Thursday evening and ends late Sunday afternoon. During these three days, you will be immersed in dynamic discussions about the teachings of Christ in a joyous atmosphere led by passionate Methodist laypeople and spiritual directors.
The East Lodge: You will find solace in the comfort of hotel-style rooms at the East Lodge. All rooms have an en suite bathroom equipped with a shower/tub, toilet, and sinks. The lodge also has a kitchen, refrigerator, and microwave.
The De Colores Center: The conference room of the De Colores Center is where you will delve deep into the meaning of grace, the sacraments, the transformative power of prayer, and ways of living a life in union with God. You will enjoy powerful testimony and engage in small group discussions.
The Chapel: The Chapel is where you will attend church-like services, pray, sing, worship, and take communion. It is filled with light during the day and has stunning views of the lake.
Food: Delicious buffet-style meals are shared together in the inviting dining room of the main building. You will not need to lift a finger! Every meal is prepared and taken care of for you.
Moments of Reflection: On breaks, the lake beckons you for moments of reflection, prayer, and quiet moments. Connect with God and embrace the beauty of nature at Cursillo.

Keep it Going: You will also join a vibrant, loving Christian Community that stays connected in our church, city, and throughout Louisiana. It is a network of other Christians who will continue to inspire you to fully live your faith.

Cursillo is a three-day experience that looks at Christianity as a lifestyle from a New Testament perspective. It is a highly structured weekend designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christian people, and through them, their families, congregations, and the world in which they live. Cursillo is a combined effort of laity and clergy toward the renewal of the church.
